System Engineer for 3D Cameras with Focus on Machine Learning Methods (m/f/d)

Location: Shanghai, China

Your tasks:

As part of an interdisciplinary project team, together with other engineers and physicists, you will develop innovative 3D camera modules for integration into smartphones. After an extensive training phase you will support customers in all phases of product development, from design draft to series production, at our office in Shanghai as well as on-site at the customer. With focus on Machine Learning Methods, you will support the development of algorithms for our 3D cameras as well as their integration into the products of our customers. You will be responsible for recording and processing training data and evaluate the quality of your developments based on appropriate test metrics. In addition, you will be involved in the demand-oriented training and general support of our customers and provide support with technical documentation.


Your profile:

  • University degree in physics, mathematics or engineering (or similar) and several years of relevant professional experience (or PhD graduate)
  • Well-founded knowledge and safe handling of Python and experience with at least one machine learning framework (e.g. Tensorflow or Pytorch)
  • Knowledge in artificial intelligence or computer vision
  • Experience in the field of product development
  • Experience in the field of algorithm development or image processing
  • Confidence when dealing with customers
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Experience in the preparation of technical documentation
  • Analytical skills, autonomous and systematic working methods
  • Customer orientation and willingness to travel
